Discovered that you need charcoal to write on price tags today. A stylus won't work. It seems like a number of writing utensils are created for a single writing purpose and don't work in other situations. Is there any chance that the Write command could check for charcoal, stylus, foraged stick, burin, etc. and work for any writing?

You get a pitch black ink bottle from inside your spellbook case.
You get a bluish-tinted pewter stylus engraved with a pair of coiled cobras from inside your beisswurm backpack.

You open the cover of your ink bottle.
>dip stylus in bott
You dip your stylus into the bottle.
>close bott
You close the cover of your ink bottle.
>put bott in my grey sack
You put your bottle in your grey sack.
>get tag
You get a price tag from your stack.

You can't write with that!

You don't need anything to write on deeds or label spell scrolls. Requiring ink for a stylus is an unnecessary extra item and doesn't work in any case. It's nice to have fancy styluses for rp but it would be great if they worked.

I agree. I was simply pointing out what those items are, in real life, and why they might not work.

Also, unless the ink bottle is specifically verbed, that's a cute little passive aggressive demonstration but we all know it's fairly meaningless.

That's cool, and that's dumb that it doesn't work.
