Kalag Kreethanni, was later Kalag the Black or more commonly known.

But it seems like Varsyth, now Kalag the Sly doesn't follow this setup. Would it be thus proper to also call Kalag the Sly, kalag Varsyth?

Just trying to understand the concepts here.

if the lore would ever be filled in for us, maybe we could find out who all the various kalags were, between Kel'hurst and Kreethanni <the Black>.

And what exactly "earned" him them their various monickers.
