Thanks for spending some time to clean up and update some of our guild's older systems. It's nice to see some work being done with the guild, even if it's not visible to us.

Any chance you could look at the rooms in the crossing guild and make them in town. Several are out of town.

I just performed a sweep through of the Crossing Guild proper and didn't see anything that looked wrong. If you wouldn't mind, please go ahead and stand in the rooms you feel have inappropriate settings and submit BUG reports for them, to help me nail down any stragglers I might be missing.

Can't use contacts in front of kalag or just outside. I got annoyed and left after that.

Oh, that's different. Contacts require being out on the street as far as I can tell, and doesn't really have much bearing on the level of urbanity.

Exactly...? Contacts has nothing to do with urbanity levels which is what this update was about, which is why I was pointing that out since you seem to be conflating the two. I'm not disagreeing (or agreeing for that matter) that contacts shouldn't be available to use inside the guild or shops or buildings, mind you, just pointing out that you're asking for a different thing than what was updated.

My argument is that if something is at the highest level urban, how can it not be in town? That seems silly. To argue a difference is equally silly.

That's just a poor choice of messaging for the contact system, imo. There are plenty of places inside a city that you might not be able to find a local non-thief townsperson sympathetic to the guild. Whether that level of realism is appropriate for the ability is probably best left for a different thread that's not about urban bonus.

Well, I want to set a fair expectation. It's mostly maintenance. No new features planned but I hope to make them a bit "smarter" as to what is in town and what is not.

I doubt it will cure all of your contact woes but it will certainly address many of them.

Making them less stupid is a huge update, don't think thieves will be let down. I've never successfully used the stupid things. It's irritating when it's faster for me to spam hunt/move than use an ability to find someone 10 rooms away because the contact 'couldn't find' them.
