Ranger and Thief sniping 06/07/2007 05:02 AM CDT

I swear, I remember a thread debating the differences between Thief snipe and Ranger snipe, with some GM commentary on skills checked and stuff. Anyone know where it is, or remember the highlights?

It went something along the lines of, Ranger snipe takes scouting ranks into account in some way, Thief snipe takes BS ranks into account in some way.

IIRC it was somewhere in the Combat folders, but I could be off.

They way in which they are taken into account from what I've heard on the forums is that they help prevent being seen or not (as opposed to whether you hit or not).
