I guess this is more of a suggestion...but I can understand magic locates being hindered by magical things. I.E.-Locate someone AC stops it, etc etc.

But having AC up shouldn't stop word of mouth from contacts. Contacts are limited enough.

People will find you just as tedious and boring to talk to at 1000 ranks as they did at 100.

I think that's a technical limitation. I believe all locates work more or less off the same code and it can't distinguish between magic and mundane ones.

Though I may be confusing that with teleporting.
