What do you order? 06/30/2007 06:17 PM CDT

I was just down in Shard buying keyblanks (yes, I buy them - I'm only in Shard for about 5 minutes at a time). Anyways, ever since that shop first opened almost 10 years ago I have always ordered the same thing, a gittern. No idea why, that's just what I order. And I always offer the same thing, 50000000 (give or take a zero). So, anyone else have something they pathologically fake-purchase?

A pick.

Back when I first started buying them, I was too lazy to go through the catalog and pick something. (Heh, a pun.) A pick was something I had always been positive that they sold.

I'll add also, still to this day I don't know what a gittern is. Maybe I'll go look it up, or maybe I'll just let it remain a mystery.

Same exact item (gittern) for me too. But I just type a 1 and hold the 0 key down for a while. It always default to some crazy looking number thats smaller. And if you ever find out what it is, please share the knowledge!

also, a gittern looks similar to a lute or an arabian Ud - it was one of the predecessors to the guitar, and was played in a similar fashion.

Always order a lyre. I think because it's easy to type. I've never really thought about it before.

And that's some really interesting information about the weird number that comes up. I thought it was maybe something strange that happens converting between bases or something. It's cool to know!

Heh, same here, I'll order lyre and than offer 50000000000 twice.

I'll than steal 5 soft iron lockpicks (gotta have my picks) and than steal 2 lockets. Go back out and than steal...no, not the lyre, but I"ll steal 2 mandolin's. And than go on my merry way ;-)

Ouch, that must have been an ego shot right there. I always order pick, and then spam 9s just to be sure that never happens.
