Very nice, wish we could actually post image tags to display the art here. Well I guess I'll cross post my portrait, and maybe a couple other pieces that aren't DR related.

And this last one I was the colorist. Pencils were not done by me.

He's a little tan, but it was actually a practice piece for me. He'd need to be much paler if it was to portray his accurately. Can't edit the original post, looks like the line art link doesn't work. It's easy enough to find though if you search for "Elric lineart Jay Anacleto".

Got distracted and inspired by the threads. Didn't get any game time in yet today, spend the entire day working on this:

That's really cool! I like seeing artistic interpretations of the more unusual races.

a whole lot of meh - some of my sketches, in process images, photos, experiments and oops , alteration design notes(usually I draw the merchant a picture), and a few finished looking things that were probably for a DR art contest or for someone else

Very cool. All the detail in bone structure, muscles and scales are great.

Finished this portrait of Sarkranis today. https://www.flickr.com/photos/33577203@N00/14989209829/

This is another variation of the S'Kra Mur.

You should look into using your self-portrait as your forum icon via Gravatar like Isharon has done.

>>Absolon: You should look into using your self-portrait as your forum icon via Gravatar like Isharon has done.

How to use Gravatars (because it may not be immediately obvious to those who have never used them):

1. Using the above URL, log into your Gravatar account or create a new account.

2. If you made a new account, activate your account by clicking the link in the registration e-mail.

3. Add your Play.net e-mail address to your Gravatar account. (Every Play.net account has one; mail sent to your Play.net address is forwarded to your account's registered e-mail address. You can get your address by clicking the "Email Author" link next to one of your posts.)

4. Validate that e-mail address by clicking the link in the registration e-mail.

5. Upload the image that you want to use by clicking the "add a new image" link.

6. If you want to use less than the whole image, use the crop tool to select the portion you want to use.

7. Click the appropriate rating.

8. Select the e-mail address(es) you want this image to be associated with.

Within a few minutes, all of your Play.net posts should automatically start using your new Gravatar. (You may need to clear your browser's cache to see the new avatar.)

I'll mess around and see if I can come up with something tog like. Will have to do some research.

And I was wondering about the avatars. Keith Parkinson is my all time favorite artist, but I couldn't mind something different.

Keith's son played DR for a long time and Keith was a fan. Before he passed away, he gave us permission to use his art for avatars when we were first setting them up.

Little known fact!

That is pretty cool. Other than that altered whip I used to have (hint hint), my most prized possession was a letter Keith wrote to me a long time ago. He was such a cool guy, I had written to him care of Dragon Magazine. Him and the other TSR artists are my primary influences, and what got me into art in the first place. I didn't even know if my letter would get to him, but I wrote anyways and asked lots of questions.

At any rate, he took the time to actually respond to me. It was a hand written letter in pen, and it meant a lot to me. Lost it in a move while I was in the military years later. Also was this close to getting one of his original paintings. So wish I could afford one.
