During the war with the Outcasts Ilithi lost many of its citizens to battle. And many of the children were orphaned or sent away to other cities to where it might be safe. Shard is now safe and is in the process of being rebuilt to match its former glory. There is plenty of room for any of the children who would choose to return home or any at all of any guild or race who would like to make a life there. If there are any interested I would be most happy to aid them along their way. I'm not hard to find. I am often in Shard itself and am always on the gweth.

Signed,
Camria Clerke of the House of the Steel Dove

OOC Alright, this is just a notice to any out there who might be interested in moving to and RPing in Shard. For those who are new to DR or have young characters I'd be willing to help try and get some basic gear and offer aid in hunting. To all I'd be willing to show you around and introduce you to people and generally try and smooth your way as I can. Camria is a resident of Shard but if needed she can certainly come north to talk with people. My AIM is LadyCamria and email xneyanax@yahoo.com. If you're interested do get in contact.

I think I'm there as soon as I'm ready for snowies. Is there a nice, steady progression up the critter ladder in Shard? How about empaths, it seems like I'm hearing they're kinda scarce. Lastly, how much skinning do I need to get consistent snowbeast pelts (non-Ranger) and how much lockpick/disarm for garg boxes?

Guess it depends on your definition of "scarce". As opposed to Crossing? What isn't, eh?

There are many willing and helpful Empaths in Ilithi. Your first stop could be the safe spot in the Adan'f area. You can meet many of us and get to know us. :-)

I am thinking the skinning is around 120 for snowbeast pelts. If you have a gweth you should be alright in regards to Empaths. As Kerrian mentioned, the Hollow by Adan'f is where a lot of folks hang out. Pfanston is always watching out for fallen people known to be in Ilithi so do not be shy on the gweth!

I am not a locks person so hopefully someone can answer that for you and verify the skinning ranks.

Well Celeiros is able to pop most garg boxes without blowing them with around 70 of each of the box skills. Every so often he'll blow one of two. A little bit more and I'd say they would be no problem at all.

Wow... 120 skinning. That's gonna happen for me, like... never. The boxes is realistic, but I don't think I'll ever be able to skin a snowbeast. Hrm... anything around that level that drops boxes? oh! super rock trolls maybe?

Yes there is. I moved to Ilithi with my wife around 80ish ranks in combats. I started with trips across the gondola to hunt snowbeasts in the gash. If folks were around to drag me I'd hunt steeds. Zombie kobolds are also fun in that range, and supertrolls are a bit higher. La'tami are probably next. There's a full progression starting after rats (as my cleric is working though).

If you want to post your skills in the relevant critter folder, I'd be happy to make suggestions, or as others have said gweth and someone will be happy to help you get into trouble. :)

Great, I'm at work right now, but I'll definitely post in a folder when I get home! I hung out in Shard years ago, when the spot was the cabin in gargoyles, but I've left and been back twice since that time.

My WarMage might be interested. I'll think about it and get in touch if I decide to move her. :)
