I am also having trouble with this quest. Im in the silverwater mine. go ledge, climb ladder. yell and wait for echo. nothing happens....???

anyone got any pointers?

Have you tried just saying something and not yelling and then wait? Its been ages since I've done this but if you don't have luck in that room try some adjacent ones.
