Ranger spells able to be cast on others 05/25/2015 07:54 PM CDT
A Ranger, being tert magic, is a 'companion' buddy for a group.

A ranger should be able to cast spells to help others in nature.

MOST ranger spells can not be cast on others. Can this be looked at please?

This limitation to ranger magic is annoying. A ranger used to be able to cast most of the 'buff' spells on others, but this has diminished a LOT over the years.

I know of one spell or maybe two that can be cast on others....Wolf Scent and Athletics.

Could you explain what that means? I don't get it.

I'm guessing he probably means that a Ranger is a "support role" class, maybe when it pertains to magic?

If that is what you mean, I don't think a Ranger should be more of a support class with their magic. I think that would fit better with a Paladin or Cleric. As of now, at least one or two of the buffs that Ranger's have are essentially the same buffs that other classes have, they're just named different. It seems like this is what they tried to do with the magic re-write, provide a "standard" set of buffs that each class can tap into. That coupled with scrolls provide a fairly decent set of buffs available. I have a fairly limited view with magic I suppose as I've only really played a Ranger, Thief, and Cleric, though that's how I see it.
