Athanasius believes that Kuniyo and all of the Gods are representations or possibly emissarys of one omnipotent God. As such he seeks favor with the representation Kuniyo for several reasons starting with personality and ending with the fact that Athan loves wolverines and all the represent.

This is unrelated but if we ever get more companions Athan would love a Wolverine he could train to hunt beside him. even if only to keep other critters at pole so that he can engage only one if the need arises. Of course wanting cake I can have and eat I'd still like them to be trackable and able to carry stuff.
