Alright, listen up everyone! After quite a nice visit from the three stooges tonight at the guild, we were prompted to see if we couldn't get a little interest in the next Ranger picnic! It is a player run event, and they said they'd be behind us if we got one organized, so I come here asking for the help of Motarra and the rest of the Ranger Mentors in seeing if we can't get a time for one set up, perhaps right after Simucon.

I know I would personally love to see everyone get together in one big place and to have a lot of fun, food, games, and prizes. So if enough people show an interest here in coming to the next big picnic, I'll start brainstorming ideas and see what I can't get off the ground with the help of our awesome gurus and the great team of Ranger Mentors we have in our midst!

So who would show up to the next big Ranger bash?

If I get enough people who will show up, I'll take the time to etch everything in stone and get it off the ground, although I don't know how good of a ringleader I'd make.

Just a few games I have in mind:

Drunken Archery
Scavenger Hunt
Fish Toss
Ranger Roshambo
Relay Race Rush
Man Hunt!
Capture the Flag

Just a few things you could expect to see if there were a picnic to take place...got tons of ideas, but I'd hate to take everyone's time up if there's only going to be three people in attendance.

Ok, Question for all of you. When is a good time to have some type of event?

Would a weekend like Saturday afternoon be good? Would an early weekday evening like 6ish or 7ish est be good? What time is workable for everyone?

Just curious.

<<<<Ok, Question for all of you. When is a good time to have some type of event?>>>

At the moment, I couldn't tell you when would be good for me. My schedule is about to get mixed up since college is letting out. Have a feeling the event won't fit my time.

Saturday afternoons are great, long as the events dont overlap, everything is gravy.

Date Set for Ranger Picnic 05/08/2003 06:05 PM CDT
Hey folks,

I just want to let ya'll know the Ranger Mentors now have a date set for the ranger picnic. From looking at your posts it's a time when most of you will be able to make it.

This event does cover most of the day with events scheduled at differant times so hopefully we don't leave any of ya out. So plan on attending Sat June 28th!

I don't have a firm schedule to give you folks yet as we're still workin on hammering all that out but we'll get ya one as soon as we have things firmly set.

Hope to see ya there!

I'm glad everyone had a good time, I enjoyed seeing people there to play, watch or support their friends and family.

I would like to thank the Mentors: Tsarenzi, Motarra, Bractos, Seei, Candi, Galain, and several more that I know I'm forgetting now, but it will all come clear to me later.

Falk, Teek, thank you both for keeping the boards hopping with the news and the date of the picnic. Why dont you fill out mentor apps? Huh? HUH? Like now! ::grins::
