I just rolled some changes to Holy Weapons. Some to Prime and Plat initially, and one will to Test.
Changes in Prime/Plat:
- Charging an uncharged Holy Weapon now results in the normal amount of charges (no double charging anymore)
- Charging with an Icon is now (slightly) better than charging at a shrine, since they're the quest/rare item
- Charging at a shrine now takes significantly less time
Changes in Test:
- Swapping a Holy Weapon no longer destroys the old Holy Weapon. This is in Test because any screw ups could result in item destruction, and I want players to be able to test it in a safe environment first.
If you have some time, I would appreciate any testing that can be done on the swapping stuff in Test. If it looks good, I'll roll it to Prime and Plat, and then eventually TF. Most likely next weekend.

Have all of the old icons been fixed retroactively? (I have the andesite icon from Akigwe's Legacy.)

Oh, yes. All Icons should behave at least as good as shrines, and all the ones I'm aware of are set up to charge sightly more than shrines.

Maybe have a Paladin Event in-game, and also advise players in game. Not everyone reads the forums, and more testers probably better then fewer testers.

I logged into test to try it out, and when i got there the chest was open. I closed it and opened it again but didn't find a token inside to use.

This chest is part of the Holy Weapon Exchange Program. Once you open this chest, regardless of success or failure with the ritual, you will not be able to try again for another 365 days.
Have your holy weapon in hand and type OPEN CHEST again within 20 seconds to open this chest.

~WARNING~ You only have 6 REAL LIFE hours from this point to complete the ritual. Take the token in the chest and perform the ritual in this room {You already have everything you need}. Failing to complete the ritual in time will result in you having to wait another 365 days before you can make another attempt to switch to a different holy weapon. If you run into problems with your holy weapon and the exchange program, ASSIST immediately. If you assist a couple months down the road with problems, chances are you won't like the resolution.
~~NOTE~~ Your old holy weapon will be destroyed in the process. Once ritual begins there is no way to stop it. Make sure you are ready.

This change is awesome. I tested changing from a greataxe to kaskara and retrieved the greataxe once the ritual was completed. It worked flawlessly. The only thing I noticed was this warning message is no longer accurate:

It may be helpful to have a message alerting people to pick up their old weapon in place of the old messaging. I can see myself forgetting to grab my old weapon out of habit.

You can change which weapon is your holy weapon, without destroying the old one. You end up with one regular weapon and one holy weapon, instead of just one holy weapon. You do not end up with two holy weapons.

This messaging with the chest no longer indicates your weapon will be destroyed.

Anyone experiencing an issue with soulstate while trying to open the chest? My soulstone indicates i'm pristine, max. But when i try to open the chest it states my soul is not pure enough...

I think that's normal. You have to be at the very top of pristine for it to work. Even when I was "pristine" and showing black flecks in power perceives, I had to wait for one more pilgrim badge prayer to be able to switch in Test.

Is the "soul no pure enough" message part of the 365 timer? It is preventing me from being able to open the Animite Chest. Because i probably did my holy weapon quest originally within the last 12 months.

As mentioned, "Pristine" is a range, and it's stupidly large to boot.
Which chest are you talking about? The one that gives you a token for the Holy Weapon Exchange Quest? Keep in mind my changes to not destroy the old weapon are still only in Test.

If you have never changed your holy weapon, you should not be subject to the 1 year timer. I think you may just not be pristine enough. Try doing some more soul fixing things and re-initiating the quest.
