I'm sorry if this opens up a can of worms, or beats a dead horse. Or maybe if it beats a dead horse which has a lot of worms inside of it. But when, if ever, will paladins be able to forge metal shields? It just doesn't seem right to me that they can't - is Forging 2.0 the answer?

The only thing I can think of is that, in a game where festival/old weapons and armor have become obsolete to forged gear, are shields held out as the last vestige of something being better from the old days?
