How am I doing? 10/26/2002 02:22 AM CDT
I would just like a little input as to how some of my armor has turned out. Here are the appraisals:

The great helm is plate.

The helm looks like it offers protection for the following areas:

head
neck
right eye
left eye

You feel certain that a great helm appears to impose fair maneuvering hindrance and offers:
good protection and good damage absorption for puncture attacks.
high protection and good damage absorption for slice attacks.
fair protection and fair damage absorption for impact attacks.
good protection and good damage absorption for fire attacks.
moderate protection and good damage absorption for cold attacks.
poor protection and good damage absorption for electrical attacks.

If you were only maneuvering in a great helm you could expect to be unhindered.

You are certain that the great helm is very strong, and is in pristine condition.

The great helm is made with metal.
The great helm has a bit of weight to it.

I'm not sure on the weight, no scales in Shard. I used the 152 stone formula though. Here's some gauntlets that I made that I am actually personally using to help my LP along.

The gauntlets are plate.

The gauntlets look like they offer protection for the following areas:

right hand
left hand

You feel certain that some gauntlets appear to impose light maneuvering hindrance and offers:
high protection and high damage absorption for puncture attacks.
high protection and high damage absorption for slice attacks.
fair protection and moderate damage absorption for impact attacks.
good protection and good damage absorption for fire attacks.
moderate protection and good damage absorption for cold attacks.
poor protection and good damage absorption for electrical attacks.

If you were only maneuvering in some gauntlets you would be unhindered.
But considering all the armor and shields you are wearing or carrying, you are currently unhindered.

You are certain that the gauntlets are moderately strong, and are in pristine condition.

The gauntlets are made with metal.
The gauntlets feels light.

Those are 43 stones, pretty simple formula. Just looking on a little feedback on some of my rudimentary work. Thanks!

You must be trying to adjust weight and or hinderance on those eh? Focus more on getting the right weight of mix. Fitting is only good as a training tool right now for Paladins.

great job indeed! keep at it, with the gauntlets aim for something like this (rough guide)

You feel certain that some gauntlets appear to impose light maneuvering hindrance and offers:
high protection and high damage absorption for puncture attacks.
high protection and high damage absorption for slice attacks.
moderate protection and high damage absorption for impact attacks.
good protection and good damage absorption for fire attacks.
moderate protection and good damage absorption for cold attacks.
poor protection and good damage absorption for electrical attacks.

I do have a question on that actually. While pounding the helm it appraised at something like overwhelming hinderance, but now I appraise it as unhindered. Is the appraisal while pounding referring to someone unskilled in HP? I did fit the helm for hinderance because of that appraisal, I'll try another and not fit it at all. Thanks for your input :-)

Alax you want to look at the top hinderance line... the one that says you feel certain it seems to impose... yadda yadda yadda..... then the stats... then is your personal overall hinderance.

As for hinderance before fitting... it really isnt accurate at all because of the cap adjustments that are applied when you fit final... or when you first use it.

I'm just wondering how I'm doing on my forging? Any advice or words of wisdom?

The half plate is heavy plate.

The plate looks like it offers protection for the following areas:

right arm
left arm
chest
abdomen
back

You feel certain that some half plate appears to impose high maneuvering hindrance and overwhelming stealth hindrance, offering:
good protection and high damage absorption for puncture attacks.
high protection and high damage absorption for slice attacks.
fair protection and high damage absorption for impact attacks.
good protection and high damage absorption for fire attacks.
moderate protection and high damage absorption for cold attacks.
poor protection and high damage absorption for electrical attacks.

If you were only wearing some half plate your maneuvering would be minimally hindered and your stealth would be very hindered.
But considering all the armor and shields you are wearing or carrying, you are currently minimally hindered and your stealth is greatly hindered.

You are certain that the half plate is well constructed, and is in pristine condition.

The half plate is made with metal.
You are certain that the half plate weighs about 510 stones.
You are certain that the half plate is worth exactly 3750 kronars.
Roundtime: 16 seconds.

I'll go ahead and bold the parts that are 1-range low for capped at 510 stones.

This website is the best forged armor compilation I've seen. She keeps a list of Redarch's and Eeary's forged armors, even though they don't play anymore. Hope it helps you as much as it's helped me.

That web site is a great help thank you. I also didn't realize that I was that close to the cap. I appreciate the help, thanks again.

You can get hhm/gr half plate that compares with better puncture protection than when you just hit the change from ghm/gr to hhm/gr.

I'm still trying to get hgrg/gr 800 stone half plate over in Plat, even though it's probably futile.
