Can you be more specific? Are you referring to weapon combos? If so, which weapons do you use?

>>weapon combos
Keep in mind when you are trying out things that certain moves carry significant defensive penalties along with them.
The 'sweep' and 'lunge' moves will give you a decent defensive hit, depending on your level you may or may not notice it. The higher up you are hunting, the more you will likely notice it.
If you are at the point where you do notice the defensive hit, you have the option of feinting the attacks which will mitigate the penalty you take, in addition to the damage output. You can do this by typing 'feint sweep' or 'feint lunge' where you would normally be typing in just the attack itself.
Also, afaik many of the brawling attacks carry a defensive penalty as well.

Good to see you back.
for a stabbing medium edge... Try holding your shield in your left hand, weapon in right and dodge Fei lunge thrust jab slam. You'll never look back. If you want a quicker combo... I have been liking fei thru jab slam without holding a shield. It will gain balance(although not at most optimal)... and with many medium edge weapons you will have a roundtime set of 1 2 1 1. gotta love it.
There are stabbing HE weapons out there as well... Using Slam while holding a shield with a stabbing weapon is actually a balance positive manouver, and does not leave you as vulnerable as slamming within a slicing weapon combo... Plus you get a great boost offensively from the Divine Armor spell.
Any Stabbing 2hand edge weapons? heh.

Err.. I know if you wear a shield on your arm, it loses a little tiny bit of its protection but that's really not enough to justify holding a shield in your hand. Or you lose the ability to shield block while using 2-handed weapons, or you know, picking things up off the ground without having to stow or wear anything first.

I thought that was only if its protection values were beyond the arm-worn cap for whatever size shield. Granted, that is easier to achieve as a Paladin with the Divine Armor spell.
