Help with armor set-up.. 05/19/2014 09:08 PM CDT
Trying to train all my armors. Was looking for some advice on what is the most practical set-up and affordable for a young pallie.
So far Im wearing:

some perfect gargoyle-hide gloves
a warrior's tower shield
a steel lamellar balaclava crafted from tempered bands
some scale greaves
some half plate

Light armor is a little slow but I swap out a leather helm sometimes for the balaclava. Armor skill is:

Shield Usage: 59 18% perusing (2/34) Light Armor: 53 87% clear (0/34)
Chain Armor: 58 55% clear (0/34) Brigandine: 56 11% thinking (5/34)
Plate Armor: 60 72% clear (0/34) Defending: 59 85% clear (0/34)

Any advice or instruction from those more experienced would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Both the scale and lamellar are brigandine. You aren't wearing any chain.

I'd suggest: Brig greaves and chain balaclava.

Lose the large shield. At your ranks it hurts you more than it helps. Pick up a small shield (recommend: lumium ceremonial) for now.

If you bring me the lumium, I'll make you whatever you want.

Actually, if you come fine Lennon in Shard, he'll set you up with a complete high-carbon steel set for free.
