A novice Paladin seeking to become a Squire. 10/07/2009 05:22 PM CDT
this is my first attempt at Paladin, and I would like to do it right. If someone is willing to take me on as a Squire. I know beggers cannot be choosers but I would be looking for someone a bit more established in the Guild than myself. I have tracked down the Paladin code and have begun reading it along with perusing the libraries on everything that I can find. IG I am called Sruhos, and am currently in Riverhaven. As it stands now, do to limitations I imposed on myself for certain reasons, I will not be hunting until I have become a squire.

Well, you can follow the Paladin Code, and become a squire of Sir Madigan, if he's taking squires. I know he's strict on who he'll take however.

Or you can follow the Paladine Code and become a squire of Sir Korsik. As long as you're willing to follow the Paladine Code to the letter, and are not a Prydaen or Dwarf, and are willing to smite any and all Prydaens for the heathens they are in the name of all that is holy.

Or you can get someone else.

I think being Korsik's squire would be hilarious.

You should go with that route.

I don't know what all taking a squire requires but, I'd be willing to give you any help I can. Look me up IG, or drop me an IM to schedule something. AIM: Williams091479 I'm not the most experienced of paladins but I'm willing to give it a go, just let me know.

Great to hear your are looking to mentor under a more experienced paladin. Really, you can't go wrong as long as you grab someone willing to teach you in some manner and (I think this is important) get you in the RP scene.

<<Celeres Turrance

Great response. I encourage you to take a Squire. I have had more fun taking on Squires than about anything lately.

Regardless, if you want to seek out Madigan he is in Therenborough. I train in the afternoon and focus on RP stuff in the evening between 9 - midnight most evenings. Obviously, I will talk and RP anytime...but I try to get my training out of the way then just focus on RP stuff in the evening when most folks are around.

Celeres is not in a position to provide any type of training to any paladin.

Korsik is a much better choice.

Best of luck!

Celeres is one of the better Paladin RPers around and one of the few I've encountered that actually behaves like a Paladin.

So if you're in Crossing a lot I'd suggesting finding him.

How does a paladin behave? Glemm behaves one way, Madigan behaves another way, Korsik behaves a different way. A friend of mine even stumbled upon a paladin named Grimmlyn who is bonded and was kissing some other girl in the inn, and talking about how his wife was making him mad! A paladin practicing infidelity!

If by that you mean whining to their moonmage buddy about how they're being picked on when another paladin (definitely not me) asked them in jest if they wanted to spar, then yes. Celeres is your man.

EXCELLENT RPER WOULD RP AGAIN A+++++++++++

I've never seen anything but top-notch RP from Celeres.

I even came across a paladin RP being a dog and "peeing" on the guild carpet. True story! Glemm, I believe that was one of your love children with Khayree.

I second Sir Korsik though.

That was Necidem, and I never did agree to adopt that paladin.

First thing I knew about it was when he called me "dad" in the guild. An IM conversation with the significant other quickly followed.

Then again, I did always fit the profile of your typical deadbeat dad, so go ahead and make draw your own conclusions on whether I'm lying or not.

That's what someone thinks of how a paladin "should" act. Pshaw. What if the god you worship supports other actions?

You should write the Paladine Code, Korsik.

Well, thank you all very much for your input, but through some conversations yesterday, and pure luck, I ran into Seb up in Riverhaven. He has agreed to take me on as a squire, so this should be interesting for the both of us to say the least.

Wow.. Umm, all I did was ask what kinda folks you two were, I didn't go whining. I was sitting, minding my own business, when I was told I should spar you, when I declined, I was kicked out of the guildhall. So, I asked if you guys were the type to do something like that normally, of if I'd done something to cause it. If there's some kinda problem with that, my IM is posted in my profile, feel free to contact me about it.
