Apparently you can tell who left a vitality vessel around by the PERCEIVE message telling you that you can't PERCEIVE it. But it's missing the possessive 's:

Loose boards of white-washed wood and a collection of dingy tapestries that reek of dust and mold compose this small, windowless hovel. Oddly, there is little detectable tell-tale scent of blood, although the walls are splashed liberally with bright red splotches. A single oil lamp hangs overhead, and the only other light source is the open door leading out. You also see a floating vessel of flaring crimson light and the healer Quentin.

You can't discern anything out of the ordinary about Elfverhan vessel. Perhaps focusing on it may reveal more?
It should say "Elfverhan's vessel". Or maybe "the Elfverhan vessel". Or maybe just "the vessel", since that seems to be the only place that a name is even attached to it in the first place.
