It would be very useful if we could select which guild we CRE to. I believe having to kill yourself, dealing with the DO hit and the IC stigma of using demonic aid would act as sufficient downsides.
I like this idea, and maybe even further up the levels we can place a marker (tombstone?) to create a custom spot to CRE ourselves to and crawl out of, using death as a means to teleport. Maybe a new skill for Risen to learn when we need to death teleport: command risen to kill, and then it kills us so that we can CRE over to the tombstone. Or maybe a simple suicide ritual.
