I've purchased a gold scarab with amethyst-inset wings, but I can't for the life of me figure out how it works.

Any advice?

While you're wearing it, TOUCH SCARAB to attune it to the room you'd like to keep an eye on.

Then, while you're anywhere else, you can WHISPER SCARAB to get a glimpse of the attuned room.
