Other Planes 03/16/2013 06:50 PM CDT
I was fiddling around with elanthipedia when I came across this:

"...The Planes had been born, separate and complete, whole unto themselves, and yet, as newborns experience much growth, so did the Planes. The Plane of Exile, the Plane of Abiding and the Plane of Unknowing all did evolve in separate ways, as did all the infinitely numbered Planes." -Origins of the Realms

It rather surprised me, I was unable to find any other reference to the Plane of Exile at all, and only one other reference to the Plane of Unknowing that implies it might be some sort of afterlife.

"It is said that when Emiil died in battle, Astrar followed him a week later -- some say of a broken heart, and others say it was her overhealing her son's injuries since she longed to follow her husband to the Plane of Unknowing." -Elothean Studies

I'm wondering if we can get any more information on these, since I hate not knowing stuff.

The Plane of Exile is where a person's RL social life goes when they become a forum or wiki moderator, and the Plane of Unknowing is composed of the physical manifestations of them trying to get Javascript to work.

I wouldn't be surprised if the following plane that can be seen through the planar telescope is either the Plane of Exile (my guess) or the Plane of Unknowing:

A black sphere

You see a sphere of darkness so absolute that you can easily define its shape against the planar void. While the sphere's color remains constant, there is a hint of movement within it, as though something was slowly impacting the surface of the sphere. You feel a leaden chill in your stomach and an inexplicable sense of peril, but whatever energy it is emitting is being poorly translated by the telescope.

That being said, I'd love more lore on these planes as well!

Sounds evil, maybe the place that entities like The Hunger lurk and try to break on through to the other side.
