A TKT Weapon 05/26/2016 02:25 AM CDT
It's late and I've been drinking so forgive me if this is a stupid idea, but i think it'd be cool to have a type of weapon unique to moon mages. Something that could float around you or you could drop/hold. This would then be the default item tkt or tks uses. The benefit of this being (i'm sure it's already implemented depending on what hits) that you could choose specific types of damage. For example you could use a set of orbs to do impact damage, razor discs for slicing damage and needles for piercing. It could be your standard floaters that happen to be weapons. So, everyone could wear them, but only tkt would trigger them to be weapons. It's an idea that hit me (while drunk) cause i think it'd be awesome to have my moon mage walking around with a group of floating needles ready to be unleashed on an unwilling target at any moment.

Yesh, I realize there are those but i hate having to reshard up so i just avid the spell all together, plus i just saw xmen and magneto had those orbs that he used to demolish his plastic prison and k just imagined my moonie having a cool perma tkt weapon floating about without having to go through the process of sharding up.

"Sharding up" is so easy to do these days that your complaint about having to do it seems odd to me. I'm curious if you have you broken a moonblade recently? It used to take many casts just to reach full even with the old 50 shards cap never mind when they increased the cap, but now only takes 4 casts to reach full at the 100 shards cap even with a snap cast moonblade.

A worn atmospheric item that gives special messaging and acts as default TKT ammo when it is activated. The damage it did could be adjusted to mimic each of the three moon's specific slivers, but would not require moons over head and never ran out. This is something that would end up in an auction and there would only be a few of them if such awesomeness was ever created.

Awesome drunk idea. Too bad there aren't more of them going around.

I really like this idea. Set it up as an atmo device, and have different levels.

1. Enchanting quality. Holds 200-1000 shards (based on material). Runs out and is useless.
2. Fest quality, runs out, but refreshes on atmo if the moon is out.
3. Auction/quest/plat raffle quality, doesn't reference a moon, and instead drains a bit of your spirit or mana to create translucent shards.

I'd rather TKT were fixed so that everybody could use it without doing anything special. I believe this fix is already on the table too.

Granted, it might be nice to have something special that would work with the fixed spell, just for the flair.

I have an approved plan to fix TKT - it's just finding the bandwidth for it.

Yeah, a cosmetic TKT weapon (ala shield of light apperance scrolls) would be a cool festival sale!

As always thanks. I'm sure everyone is excited to see the new reincarnation.

Synergy!!

A shadowling is flung through the air and zips toward a sabre-toothed warcat!
The shadowling lands claws first and proceeds to make it's displeasure known with several rapid rakes and bites!

The moonblade in your right hand accelerates through the air towards a sabre-toothed warcat!
The moonblade lands a heavy strike lancing through the warcat's neck.

The sabre-toothed warcat is picked up with a shriek of surprise and flung at a ponderous Shadow Servant landing in it's mouth!
The Shadow Servant closes it's mouth in surprise of it's own crushing the warcat's left leg. The Servant spits out the warcat in disgust!

A <adjective> <color> sphere jumps into the air and zips toward a red bear orc reiver!
The sphere lands a solid hit to its abdomen with a flare of icy sparks!

Fun fact. This actually happened.
