The Simulacrum spell creates an imperfect duplicate that closely resembles the caster physically and mentally. This spell pattern was developed by the crystal hand monks in an attempt to perfect themselves through examination and exercise. The duplicate was capable of mimicking the caster's own martial style and could even anticipate how the caster would react. The simulacrum served as formidable sparring partners.

Ritual spell that creates an illusionary image that will attack the caster. No actual damage can be done but the resulting maneuvering around would train either tactics, brawling, athletics or perhaps some combo of the three depending on what maneuver it asked you to perform. It would be on a cooldown similar to how read the ripples is and train in a similar fashion but instead of observing it would require tactical, or brawling type maneuvers.

There could possibly be a meta spell for different training types, one for Athletics, one for Brawling and the base could be Tactics. It would be esoteric and require knowledge of at least the starlight sphere spell with perhaps another.

That's a really interesting concept. What if you could "channel" the spell (think RTR) from a room you're in. Certain actions would now be tied to that wraith. It could pick a box for you, safely, destroying itself and maybe stunning you if it takes damage. It could travel to a nearby brook and try to swim it, or a wall and try to climb it. It could go forge a new tool for you, all while you sit comfortably in the room you're in doing your thing. Make it use the research system for restrictions on what it can and can't do. It contests and teaches you skills. You could take it out and try to learn tactics, evasion, and even weapons (no spells), but any damage received will cause it to shatter.

The idea at its core is that its an illusion. Its scope will be limited to not actually being able to interact physically with the world. Perhaps there could be a meta that allows the illusion to perform distractions or maybe even startle someone, but never actually perform any real actions.

Also simply put, it would be probably be a coding nightmare to make the spell overly complex. With the idea I posted they could most likely take much of the code from RTR and edit it rather than trying to make something from nothing.

I got the idea thinking of Piccolo

That is a cool new idea for a spell. Kudos.
