General Questions 09/23/2013 06:34 PM CDT
Hello! I have had some lingering questions since the rollout of 3.0 that I haven't come across an answer to yet. I was hoping someone here might be able to answer them for me.

First is Starlight Sphere. How is it affected by spell stance? By that I mean, does your spell stance upon first casting the spell affect every pulse for the duration of the spell? Or does your current spell stance affect each individual pulse?

Second, how does the duration spell stance affect non-buff spells?

Also, damage types. What spell does what? I saw someone had posted a table in the forums a while back, but I cannot seem to find it again! I swore it was in this one, but I cannot find it here or in several others. Here is what I know so far:

Burn - fire/piercing
PD - ?/impact
TKT/TKS - depends on ammo (no idea what does what though)
SLS - ?/cold
DO - slice/cold
STRA - ?/electricity

As far as I know:

Cyclics should be entirely determined by the initial cast, after that you just have to keep providing mana for them.

>Second, how does the duration spell stance affect non-buff spells?

If you're casting a spell with no duration, the ratio of potency and integrity are all that matters. That's all I've got though.

Elanthiapedia would be a good place to post the types of damage done by spells when you do find out. http://elanthipedia.org/w/index.php/GZ is a good example.

DISCERN [spell] will tell you if you have enough arcana.

Ah, thank you! I really like how DR 3.0 comes well documented, it's just too bad I don't always know the syntax.
