These are two spells that I've always wanted. My curiosities are;

1) Just how effective is Shadow Web; how "overtrained" do I need to be in order to see it hold monsters for an "appreciable" amount of time (getting ahead here, but lets say a few pulses of TKS.)

2) Does anyone use these two spells in tandem? To me, it seems to beg that a mass disabler be used with a mass damage spell. My gut instinct tells me casting TKS and following it up with a shadow web could be quite effective; but I claim no expertise in combat penalties and calculations, nor how much my personal balance effects the pulses of TKS.

I'm not terribly worried about how much escaping skill I'd need to learn; I'd be extremely interested in adding a combat survival to take out a non-combat one. So I'm curious; sweet clear-them-out mechanic, or wasted dream?
