Ability, not spell.
Requires a fresh herb in one hand, nothing in the other.
Requires some ranks in magic and empathy.
Adds a very minor (+1) amount of health, spirit, and mana.

> Siphon [herb]
You siphon the life energy from the herb in your hand. You feel refreshed.

You now have a dried [herb] in your hand. Quality is slightly reduced.

This would be an amazing Empath variant on the Ranger drying beseech! You guys have spell slots to spare on doing that for me, right?

Would Empaths be able to drain the life from something and add it to their own (although I guess the first half is pretty much what IZ is)?

TBH it sounds like the Necro spell, Siphon Vitality.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

+1 for the alchemy users not needing a wayerd pyramid anymore. Although, if a siphon ability took life from a creature it would have to cause Shock and probably wouldn't be taught by the guild proper.

I kind of like that idea. A spell that's taught by the guild as a way to prepare healing herbs, but with a wink and a nudge about the true purpose. To syphon the water from the living as another touch effect like IZ, but this one could be taught by the guild. Not as much raw damage, but maybe DFA or a secondary effect (fatigue damage).
