Might not be that big of an accomplishment these days, but just got enough magic for the title.

Those are some serious magics for your circle. Congrats!

That's cuz Mason has his own harness/pm requirement of 10 per.. heh

By comparison, Segmere's 93rd with only about 2530 total magic

.... wow :/

I think Podfol is at about 3,300 at 94th, and I consider his magics low (nowhere near my 10 harness/circle I once kept).

You people are insane. Says the guy who stuck with 10 ranks of PP per circle until 20th when he finally wised up...

I just think it's ridiculous to hold yourself back from circling.

Sandbagging is fun?

I have a warmie friend who has >900 harness at like 80ish (and multiple >600 lores and >400 survivals). Now that's nuts :/

But really, for my cleric, a large part of it was nothing to hunt in a given location, and wanting him close enough for when I died to crits. When he has something to hunt, weapon flies and he circles (as is the case at the moment since I feel safe enough in apes now that I sent cleric to Rossmans).

Youree, I spend all my time in combat. I just hang out on m'riss with no reliable transportation to circle/spend tdps, and I think teaching is the most boring thing ever and am really close to the wall.

If the GM's ever lower our teaching req I'd probably circle more often. Until then I'm going to continue at my current pace, and probably be 60th by the time I cap out bristle-backs.

I don't tourney anyway as I'm mainly marooned here on m'riss. I don't think it'd be very amusing either if I could just stand out in the open killing everyone with 20 mana snap casts of AE either.

All that says to me is, they're either pathetic at PvP and want to sandbag tournaments, or they don't know how to change their script to train the skills they need to circle. Lame either way.

Doesn't tourney. And really sucks at making his own scripts. Only recently talked him into g3 so I can help him; finally working combats (that's basically what said warmie needs to 150th), and even at that he'd rather fool around with getting the deathdealer title than pushing 3 or 4 weapons and actually circling.

All to their own, not my character not my worry =)

Nice numbers everyone. Personally, I am not so interested in PP so I make little effort to train it. My TM is behind my MD, and should be higher. I realize MD and PP are good for TDP's but I just don't like training them much.

if $monstercount > killcount goto kill
prep mf 15
charge armb 25
focus armb
(bob untill $SpellTimer >= 20)
cast

repeat. This is basically what I'm doing. Throwing a single perceive in every now and then will help keep PP moving too.

Ah the advantages of scripting. Even with macro's I find that tedious.

And I am not knocking scripting- I fully realize that there are many reasons that scripting is superior to training manually.

I throw in a perceive every once in awhile- actually with the new experience, I feel like I am able to keep PP moving with less 'training' than ever. All good.

Re: Soul Magus 09/26/2009 10:38 AM CDT
i think my obsession with PP is a hold-over from being a moonmage. i powerwalk to a hunting area, i percieve regularly while i'm hunting to keep it moving, usually end my hunt by the time it finally hits clear. when i get back to town, a powerwalk is the first thing i do before training anything else.

i've always looked at it like available mana is pretty much the lifeblood of a caster, more PP = more available mana...though i'm learning now that it doesn't really matter with POM. heh.
