Esuin says, "The gods honor you, Faethe! You have been deemed worthy to train for your next rank!"
"Persevere constantly, for your work is pleasing to those whom you serve and they will be swift to reward one who remains true and steadfast in all their ways. Continue your diligent work, and you will continue to advance in our guild." He smiles at you and gives you a light pat on the arm.

Very nice job on Faethe! For some reason I get stuck in backtrain city. What are you planning on backtraining?

Climbing, Swimming, HP/LP, Multi, MB.

Escaping, FA, Foraging, Winds.

Get my Power Perception, Scholarship and Teaching up a bit as well. For some reason I want to get Mechanical Lore and Appraisal up as well.

Fun! I like the winds. One of my goals is to get to play hymns at the very least.

And swimming's soooo useful.

Congratulations, Faethe!

Appraisal shouldn't be hard to train: Just appraise your critters quickly as they come in the room.

Me as well -- I have a very talented tutor who's been teaching me. :)

Ya know, once I hit over 100 ranks, it suddenly became a lot harder. It seemed I could only appraise a pouch once instead of twice for experience, and that was greatly reduced. I made myself an 8pk pouch, which still only barely gets the skill going.

That's why I suggested critters: I can lock on them at 190 appraisal, while gem pouches barely get it to learning.

I think I'll start playing with my ocarina again!

Gotta start somewhere...

I might as well let my cat out of the bag.

I assess my instruments every time I play them. So, PLAY, ASSESS, PLAY, ASSESS. It's a 5 second space that doesn't meaningfully make your training time slower AND it locks your perception.

I used to be able to move mech to muddled by cleaning the instruments, but they're never dirty anymore.

This was on my Thief, but Diarik seems to learn appraisal fairly well, too. He's only using one instrument, though.

It must cap at reasonably low perception, since it's not moving mine off clear at 235 ranks. Still, nice tip.

Appraisal is at 130 and still locks (or gets to bewildering); perception is around 130 as well. If it ever tapers off, I'll mention it.
