So does the new wind keyboard teach any other instrument skills besides Winds?

The post did seem to imply that maybe it wasn't JUST a wind instrument, but we could have read into that wrong. I'll tell you one thing, that is one difficult instrument to play. It teaches appraisal pretty well too.

Just winds. But for anyone interested, it appears to be exactly (or nearly) as hard to play as bagpipes, weigh 35 stones lighter (15), and appraise higher. These little things rock. Go kidnap a gnome and get one.

Wow...I saw 'portable keyboard instrument' and reactivated my account to run and buy one...but it's a wind? I looked it up to see why and understand now, but I was so hoping for something more along the lines of a harpsicord. Yes, I know that piano-type instruments are not all that portable, but I can dream, can't I? Hehehe...

There is at least one harpsichord in the game as well now, although no, it's not portable. More are coming.

The Rathan theater has quite a few nice things in it.

As soon as Hib citizens get free ferry rides to that island where the harpsichord is, I'll go play it more often.

For the record, I love this instrument. Please make duplicates for each respective musical skill.

Thanks.

Those creative lil' Gnomes are busy designing all sorts of mechanical instruments.

So the harpsichord is in Forfedhdar? None of my characters have been there, though my son's character has gone. When you play the harpsichord, what instrument skill does it teach?

[Ain Ghazal Chateau, Music Conservatory]
Rich reddish brown cherry wood paneling, a deep-piled wool carpet, and dramatic drapes that flow in graceful curves across the entire ceiling cover every inch of the stone that encases this room. Locked display cases showcase some of the instruments acquired by the Sisters over the years. In one corner a huge concert harp stands behind a burgundy velvet rope, and behind another rope is a magnificent harpsichord. You also see a cherry wood door.
Obvious exits: none.
>l harpsi
Raised decorative silvered panels depicting wrens in flight line the sides of the ebony harpsichord. Keys of pure ivory contrast perfectly with the darker tones of the ebony wood, giving the entire instrument an elegant yet simple appearance.
>app harpsi
The magnificent harpsichord appears to be a stringed instrument.
You are certain that the magnificent harpsichord is crafted from wood.
You are certain that the magnificent harpsichord is of good quality.
You are pretty sure that the magnificent harpsichord is immovable.
You are certain that the magnificent harpsichord is worth exactly nothing.
Roundtime: 8 seconds.
>ass harpsi
Cradling the magnificent harpsichord in your hands, you carefully look it over from top to bottom, assessing what damage has been done to it. After a few moments, you realize that ...
You are certain that the magnificent harpsichord is crafted from wood.
You are certain that the magnificent harpsichord is of good quality.
Roundtime: 5 seconds.

Strings!

Oh and its a very hard stringed instrument to play. Optimum learning for me was elegy and well, I'm sure I'm not as good as some but I'm not awful. That was an unusual level for me!

Nice to see that it is stringed. Perhaps someday Lydaiva will brave the trail and try it out.

There is also a harpsichord in Theren, in the Trigomas Residence. It teaches strings. Very nice room for practicing.
