Something Different 10/22/2010 12:24 AM CDT
New topic time. We're going to do this one a little different.

Imagine Heritages are out. You may or may not be a member of one. You're wandering around the club house, maybe you swiped some booze, and you bump into an NPC Bard.

What sort of things would you like to ask him?

(For those not as into the whole RP set up: What sort of things are you likely to >ask NPC if they're a bard NPC associated with a Heritage?)

I'd ask him for a description of the heritage in his words. I'd want to know the history and what current members do.

I'd ask him about himself, and what he's done as a member of the heritage.

I'd ask a songsworn about the various enemies the guild has.

I'd ask a lorekeeper where he's hiding the super-secret library (you know they have one).

Specifically, most old/forgotten Bard NPCs, as I'd like to see where (if they were) they'd fall under heritages and who doesn't want to know more about Lanival, Teiro and their scandalous love affair?

What Issus and ILLIENA said.

+

>ask NPC about heritage -- Describe what a heritage house is, what the three heritages are and what differentiates the three from each other.
>ask NPC about enchantes -- Outlining the theory behind enchantes, how they manifest and how they function.
>ask NPC about Leilond -- Only because I can't have Issus show me up :P

I would want him or her to have a response about all of the guild leaders. I would also want them, when asked about the Bard's Guild, to say something different based on their own personal experiences. Maybe why they joined, or what they felt the greatest achievement of the guild as a whole was.

I think they should also tell you a decent amount of information about the other two heritages, in addition to a great deal about the one they are currently meandering about.

I think they should also do something. I think you could ask the taleweaver person to perform to see a little performance, ask the lorekeeper about a story to hear one and ask the songsworn to uh..swear a song or something <g>

I actually like this question a lot, because there is such a great similarity between Warrior Mages and Bards, I'd like some way available IG to explain the relationship between the two guilds in depth. I believe Armifer did a pretty good job somewhere in the Warrior Mage folder.

Ask NPC to teach <Skill>

I'd like him to be able to teach something. In fact, I'd like to see several NPCs (not just bards) who teach stuff in some sort of a similar way that we teach each other.

I like the suggestions, especially the ask about Lanival, I think Lanival the Redeemer gets forgotten a whole heck of a lot more often then he should.
