Bard-Fu, Heritages, and GM Raesh 06/20/2010 07:25 PM CDT
Hey Raesh, your outline of the Heritages looks spiffy to me. ;)

But I do want to second what he said - we are NOT trying to force ANYONE to join a Heritage. If you WANT to join one, fantabulous -- but if you find that your bard just doesn't fit in one category, that's quite all right; you'll still be able to learn the various Heritages' feats, etc.

Which is why we HAVE gone with Songsworn as the combat heritage, instead of just making Songsworn an end goal of some bards within a BattleBards Heritage - you can still be a fighter without being a Songsworn, just as you can still be a scribe or historian without being a Lorekeeper or a performer without being a Performer (dude, I want a different name...).

Oh, and one thing Raesh and I were discussing, and I'll throw it out there just so y'all kinda have a view of how we're seeing the Songsworn Heritage: You don't have to have the skills of a fully trained Songsworn to join; they'll train you. Just expect that you'd be (if we were looking at, say, titles) wearing "apprentice Songsworn" type of titles for a while, depending upon your skills when you do join.

I am throwing darts at a thesaurus.

The Masks
Mummers
Wrights
Charades
Greater Pageant
The Epos
Loom of Telling
The Expressive(s)
The Cast
Leapsong
The Acrobatic(s)
The Goads

If anything, somebody has a good name for their New-Age Peruvian flute band.

I should go away, I know. I just like these kind of word exercises, for fun.

I kind of like 'the cast', actually.
