Dark Phoenix - scroll only Meta spell that can be activated to alter Phoenix's Pyre into a Hylomorphic sorcery spell which produces devastating Blackfire.

Blackfire is a manifestation of Hylomorphic Sorcery, which is unique to Warrior Mages.

Then again we have this feral magic stuff which has upended magic theory in general, so maybe Bards can use it now, who knows?

Though for real old Blackfire was broken and and Pyre is already pretty OP, giving Bards access to cyclical AOE Blackfire would be more broken than Fire Rain, Naga, and Universal Solvent combined. Maybe some cool fire metamagic that is not Blackfire specifically?

I was thinking along the lines of... damage goes all Fire and is increased, ignites naphtha without having to hit the specific body part, something like that. Not turn it into the old Incinerate that instantly killed most and savagely damaged the rest.

Bards do have a history of hacking magic they shouldn't have access to (for example, in Magic 1.0, using higher tier spells from scrolls when no one else could).
