Being the recent unemployed college graduate and all, I decided to procrastinate even more on job applications and here is the result of my night's work.
Shenney has recently been running from Merchant to Merchant in the Shard Festival grounds, ever since it opened up to everyone, so it seemed suitable that I make a short parody of the song, Scarborough Fair, set to more Elanthian lyrics.
Shardian Fair
Are you goin' to Shardian fair? Songbook, sword, shield, people and crime.
Remember me to one who shops there, he once was a true love of mine.
Tell him to buy me a fine silver harp. Songbook, sword, shield, people and crime.
Without no strings nor tuning pegs, then he'll be a true love of mine.
Tell him to find me a dress or two. Songbook, sword, shield, people and crime.
Between the stall and the turquoise tent, then he'll be a true love of mine.
Tell him to earn a thousand gold. Songbook, sword, shield, people and crime.
Placed in a purse for me to hold, then he'll be a true love of mine.
Are you goin' to Shardian fair? Songbook, sword, shield, people and crime.
Remember me to one who shops there, he once was a true love of mine.
And for the hell of it, since I finally figured out how to use the computer microphone function, I also recorded it onto a sound file for kicks and giggles found at (http://www.geocities.com/drshenney) under the Shardian Fair link. Who said procrastination can't be productive? ::grin::
