Sanctuary update. 07/08/2014 05:12 AM CDT
Hello again Bardfolk,

I've got some changes rolled into the Sanctuary spell that should make it a little more bearable to use. First off, the required Potency needed to kick in the higher effects has been lowered a little. This means you should be able to get a more glowy dome with less mana invested. Second, the mana you invest in the spell has a direct impact on how quickly the spell ramps up. The combination of these first two points could possibly lead to it taking one extra pulse to reach an effect, but only if you are casting at less mana than it used to take to get that effect at all. More often, depending on mana used, you will notice the same or less pulses to reach each tier. At cap, you will reach each new effect much faster.

Finally, when you travel, you should notice the effects ramp back up quicker than normal if you already let the spell build up. Keep in mind, the spell does continue to build up even beyond you reaching the max effect you can produce from how much mana is used.

A few other minor things changed as well, I think there was a possible bug that rarely allowed the effects to expire when they shouldn't have, as well as a possible bug that could have left a lingering effect on a room when the caster was long gone. Both of these possibilities should be gone now, but please let us know if any other oddities crop up from these changes.

Enjoy!
