>>Arcane does equal warrior mage elemental magic.<<

You're taking a leap that Arcane sigils are Arcane magic... or just the sigils themselves are Arcane. I've never seen Arcane == Elemental in DR terminology. But whatever... I just think if they're gonna steal titles... just steal 'em. If Harbinger doesn't fit your guild... how does Arcane Harbinger. If bully doesn't fit your guild, how does an Arcane bully fit. If you want to be a bully, just get the bully title. I have no personal problem with titles being shared... but... cheap knock offs are kinda lame.

But whatever.. my guild doesn't have titles, so I'll just shut up. I don't have say.

<<Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.>>

Well said. Honestly, don't have a problem with Warrior Mages getting titles that are similar to Barbarians, because well, they're titles. It's just for fun and hopefully some of the WM players are having a good time with their characters and their titles.

<<Speaking of War Stomper, who can tell me how many levels of War Stomp there are?>>

You must specify an intensity for your War Stomp.
STOMP: Light | Heavy | Enormous

As for titles, can you make titles based on how much charisma you have. Made a list a while back that is more detailed. Anywho, 60+ charisma as a Barbarian = Apocalypse.

Just give me that title and I promise to never make fun of another mage.

50+ charisma as a Barbarian = Death Incarnate

40+ charisma as a Barbarian = Destroyer

Personally, if I were a war mage I'd be pissed that the people that were in charge of coming up with titles for my guild for some reason suffered from such a severe lack of imagination that given the chance to come up with new titles opted out for the easier choice of grabbing willy-nilly from titles already out, adding the word Arcane to the begining of it, and calling it a job done.

You would be, until you realized that a majority of those titles were player suggestions in the Title Folder. Silly, actually.

If by that you mean three levels, that would be wrong.

I did, that is what is listed in the game. Perhaps I didn't understand what you were referring to. Are you suggesting there are three variation/levels among the three intensity war stomps listed?

Anything is possible in this game. I'm not doubting that at all. But, there was only one mention of war stomp. There was never any mention ever given by a GM of multiple variations/levels of war stomp. The only possible mention of anything besides what is shown by war stomp was when Jaedren had said there was an easter egg not found. Are you referring to something like that Iayn? Or is this a new aspect of war stomp with there being multiple affects of war stomp live in the game for those who have that ability.

Also, could we move this discussion to the war stomp folder? Just useful for myself and possibly others when researching past posts.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the update. I did manage to try and do some experiments when Jaedren mentioned it a few years back and even asked some folks in TF if they could help, but didn't find anything beyond what I've seen is capable for light, heavy and enormous intensity. Maybe a hint of the easter egg that wouldn't give it away, but possible point folks to the right direction can help out, if it were allowed Iayn.

If we are unable to get our titles back, can we at least change "Warlord" to "Lord of War"?

I dont have a problem that the ideas were suggested and I dont really fault the GM's for suggesting the titles. Even Valcer has a decent suggestion on occasion. There is only one person to blame when poor decisions are implemented. What I want to know is if the trend will continue and how far will it go? Where do we draw the line? What is the point of having a diverse and distinctive title system if all the titles start to blend into each other? If that happens I would rather they scrap the entire system and go back to guild only titles.

Regarding the titles that were implemented for Warrior Mages recently, there are a lot of different perspectives on how I've been looking at them. To an older playing player like myself, I don't mind them because I see it as something that WM players can possibly enjoy. However, I do see the new titles given to WMs reflecting what Barbarian titles have as, well.. to put it bluntly, very lame.

That's not really my point, because it isn't just about my opinion of how I think the WM titles copying what Barbarian titles have and tacking the word "Arcane" in front of it and thinking that is all well and good. It is the opinion of the collective group of what should be done. Don't think of it as just what your thoughts are based on only your character because titles affect everyone in the guild. Should titles have some sort of semblance of individuality while still retaining the meaning of the guild? I believe so.

Think of it this way. When you just started playing Dragonrealms and you joined X, Y or Z guild. You were excited to play and you were motivated to have fun and learn new things about the game. One thing newbie players tend to look at first is titles (personally, I know this was the case for me). I saw the blood dancer or war chief title and thought - wow, that looks sweet. I can't wait to get that! It sounded like the route I wanted to take for my Barbarian in terms of role playing him and it helped inspire me to continue playing. Exactly how would a new player enjoy a Warlord title, when you can be an Arcane Warlord, as an example. When it comes down to it, the players who play this game can be pretty creative and I'm sure they can think of something more akin to the WM guild, while still retaining their individuality that they are WMs.

Could and did, especially in Prime.

The Guild Wighten is talking about is the Thief Guild, who had almost all of their titles made available to everyone (with the exception of about five that are limited by backstab requirements).

Takes more than severe cooties to scare off a Barbarian and since you are in Plat, your titles dont count.

I was wondering, if WM's keep our modified titles, can you make a change to how we see their titles? For example, Arcane Bully JoeMage just arrived. All non-Barbarians would still see "Arcane Bully JoeMage just arrived" but Barbarians would see the title differently, such as "Not a Barbarian JoeMage just arrived".

Also here: Not a Barbarian JoeMage.
