The old weapon types still exists and should be displayed. The thing that is changing is which skill these "old" weapon types train. i.e. a dagger will still be a Light Edge, but it will train the Small Edge weapon skill.

That's because the sub-classes of armors aren't important. This is compared to weapons, in which there are several systems that still care about the sub-type (backstabbing and dual wielding being the two that come to mind immediately).
