So how long does it take to wear off?

I was hunting in some Xalashar robes for a while, then hung around town for entirely too long, went to the bank and got arrested at the teller. So my outragous gear was confiscated and it's in a sack on the desk; so I shouldn't be accruing any more social corruption, I waited a few hours and went to the Dirge bank and I'm still getting the angry villager message. So how long do you figure I should wait before I'm able to pay off my debt and get all my stuff back?
