Glass cube 01/30/2016 10:10 AM CST
Anyone have any insights... I'm pretty sure I know what it is but would be kind of strange to get one from a map.

A tiny glass cube etched with humanoid faces depicted as frozen mid-scream.

You focus your magical senses on a tiny glass cube etched with humanoid faces depicted as frozen mid-scream.
Traces of magic swirl through the glass cube, somehow reminiscent of your knowledge of Analogous Patterns. Concealed beneath this is a secondary pattern of Corruption.
Roundtime: 20 sec.

Get the same focusing from a necromancer, minus the corruption.

This is the necromancer focus of a glass orb, so I would suspect it either does the same thing, or summons another similar type of minion, although it might be some other effect if the Necromancer doesn't get the 'which in turn' bit:

FOCUS: Traces of magic swirl through the glass orb, somehow reminiscent of your knowledge of Analogous Patterns. Concealed beneath this is a secondary pattern of Corruption, which in turns disguises the Animation magics which ultimately resides within.

Don't know if applicable but he might need more Arcana to see the relevant bits.

Roundtime: 14 sec.

It occurs to you that you could CLEAN, EAT, EXHALE, JUGGLE, PEER, SHAKE, or TAP the glass cube.
You are also fairly certainly you could BREAK the glass cube, since it is naught but fragile glass.

Those are the same verbs that glass orbs have, lending further credence to it being another item of that type.

What effect it actually summons when broken is the unknown for me.

Yeah the verbs are what lead me to believe its that kind of item, but its pretty and I don't want to break it just yet.

Well make sure ya post when you do. I'm interested to see if that's another type of construct entirely.

I will do that... though will be quite a while before that happens, doing it at such a low circle seems like a gross waste of a lot of fun.

You might try an assist, and point to this thread.

Since it's pretty clearly a single-use item, and you indicated it came from a treasure map, the GMs might be really nice and actually explain it.

But you'll probably need an actual GM, not just a host.
