Hi all, I have a WM character by the nick name of Squish. Those that know me by that moniker will know who I am. My question is that I have just invested in a new device. I have been playing with a device that can't use the SF FE so that training via scripts is impossible. Now that I have the new device my dilemma is that I don't know how to educate myself in the SF's use. So please help me walk before I run. I wanted to try goal setting so I can sign my name in the guild book. Then I wanted to become a crafter but, without the use of scripting I don't think I have that level of patience to make even a rudimentary crafted item, not to mention a finely finished one. So Can I ask for help in this forum to get me on my way enjoying the time I spend playing more than I have of late by cutting my teeth on the SF. Thanks for any help in this area.

The easiest way to learn to script imo is to find a simple-ish existing script and run it and watch the actions that it takes. Then open that script file by clicking edit in SF and you can see line by line what commands are being used. Scripts can be simple and inelegant (but still get the job done) or much more polished and adaptive but ultimately SF's abilities are relatively limited. As far as crafting goes there are stormfront crafting scripts for every skill on Elanthipedia except for enchanting.
