Maybe I'm misremembering, but I thought there was a way to have items that would usually be hidden by these robes, visible. If there is, anyone know how?

I think you're thinking of FEATURE hiding robes/cloaks.

yep i was, my empath's robe is a feature hiding robe that you use turn on.. my warmage has the fluff hiding one (my bad, and sorry for the double post, too many chars too much stuff to remember ;p)
