There's the harbour in Ilaya Taipa a short ways to the west. You might have to deal with a blood mite or two that you pick up along the way there, however. Shouldn't be too big an issue as long as you tend it when it gets big enough.

The Brynn rill near Moss Meys might be a better athletics training spot for you. The rill itself isn't deep enough to swim, but wading against the current 'might' teach you. Athletics is trained more efficiently by climbing anyway. You could try using Climb Practice Basin (to train athletics) on the basin at the spring source at the north end of the rill.

Moss Meys spawn throughout the Eik Wood Glomsk-Eik and the Mey Mists. I hung out in the Brynn rill for awhile and didn't see any Moss Meys spawn or move into the actual water rooms, so it looks like you'd be safe from them if you stayed in the creek. Run through the hunting area quickly to the rill and use the Flee command if one manages to trap you in engagement along the way. (if you're outclassed by Meys)

Another (and better if it's the proper teaching range for you) option is using Climb Practice Monolith outside the entrance to the Moss Mey hunting ground in this room:

[Eik Wood, Granite Outcroppings]
A smooth, sloping granite outcropping, like a monolith fallen and half buried, stands as a gate between familiar ground and the forest beyond. With the momentum of a trot it is an easy climb up and over to the forest trail.
Obvious paths: southwest.
