The Raffle was a big time success for our numbers last year, and we hoping it helps keep the coffers full for next year as well. With the success alot of thought and GM support is being put into the planning stages of next years raffle.
Meriel (To be termed Raffle Goddess) is a huge help with the prizes, and is going to be intrical in making sure we have plenty of prizes for next year's raffle. To that end, she is going to be doing something she loves to do in making ensembles for characters. It's going to work like this...
Door Prizes will be the Ensembles. Each Ensemble is going to be themed. So you could have a Pirate Ensemble (Hat, hook, shirt, pants boots, maybe gloves). Or a Roman Soldier themed Ensemble (Toga,
sandals, dagger, laurel of leaves). Or a Butcher (shabby clothes, little booklet titled "Ways to prepare meat", Messy apron).
There will be a way to swap these with other winners, so if you get the pirate ensemble but don't want to be a pirate you can trade with the someone else, and that way after you win you can trade for what
you might like better!
What I need from you is ideas for what to do Ensemble themes on and what would be in them. And discussing them here on the list is encouraged!
Example: Convict Ensemble (Black and white stripped shirt and pants with 6 numbers on shirt. Heavy ball and chain. Pick-axe for breaking rocks).
Examples for Ideas -
Professions - Pirate, Convict, Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker, etc.
Historical Era's - Roman Soldier, Greek Senator, Viking Warrior, etc.
Religious/Animal Themed - Raven themed, Unicorn themed, etc.
Guild themed - Empath, paladin, etc.
Race Themed
Any other theme you can think of
Obviously not all suggestions will be used, but we are looking for your creativity to help us make a great set of door prizes for con goers. Remember if we use yours and you want it, even if you don't win it you can trade what you win with someone else who won the one based on the idea you gave us. Please include items you think would fit with the theme you submit. Don't need LOOK or TAP, just a basic description like my example above.
I'm hoping to get 25 different ensemble ideas. So even if you just got a simple idea and don't want to come up with actual items throw it out there and someone else may run with it. =)
