How Much? 02/14/2011 08:52 PM CST
How much does a typical Simucon weekend cost you on average? I'm trying to figure out how much I need to save ahead of time so I can attend this year :)

Room: (avging 3 day stay) Approx 350 without roomate. (Hard to say without knowing what the deals are. Usually they average about 99/night, sometimes less)

Registration: No idea this year. Usually under $100 but this could vary too.

Travel: Depends, of course.

The rest of it, honestly is going to depend on you. How much you want to drink/spend.

There are a LOT of restaurants in the Westport Complex, and not all of them are expensive. If you don't drink a lot (or at all) you can probably survive on 200 bucks or less.

A handy link of the current restaurants.

Hope that helps. Issus and I need more bards 100+ bards to show up.

As a bard, you can use SONG to list the enchantes you know.
You have learned Dragon's Breath [db] from a scroll and must maintain at least somewhat less than half your normal attunement to keep it.

Yeah to mimic Ysselt's list, I think the bare minimum I could use to go to SimuCon would be around $400 (this assumes 4 roommates, minimal drink/food, and registration). Conversely, you could go out to eat at the hibachi grill every night and drink more than a sailor on shore leave. Then gain, I like to be a little more comfortable on a vacation such as this, so I usually bank $600.

Sweet, thanks for the links :)

Hmm, $600 sounds like a good amount to keep saved up. Hopefully I can either find cheap airfare or find someone driving :P
