This is Jeff Hebert, I was "Nutawa" back in the day. I'm back in DR again after having tried it out for the last few weeks -- great changes! -- although maybe being gone for 3+ years helps too.

Anyway, I've been working on a new version of the HeroMachine character portrait creator. It's now in alpha (i.e. very rough) format, but you can already make some pretty neat-looking images with it. The art is a thousand percent better. If you're looking for a nice visual for your DR character but haven't been able to find an artist to do one for you, check it out and see if you can generate your own better and faster, and let me know what you think.
