Salvaging Lumber 06/26/2016 09:34 AM CDT
Is it possible for engineering (probably through shaping) to get a wood refinement process where you can (similiar to metallurgy skills) cut, sand, clean etc. a stack of lumber to get a higher quality stack of lumber at the cost of a percent of the total volume?

The other societies (forging/outfitting) have a way to easily get outstanding or master quality material to work with, whereas engineering doesn't have anything to easily accomplish the same. This means lower quality and lower value final results for engineered items.

This could tie into wood repair and/or lumberjacking lines of techniques easily.
