The Name "Lumberjacking" 12/21/2014 08:44 PM CST
Zamara and I were chatting about this. "Lumberjack" is a term for someone who works in the logging trade. (It is not a verb.) Wouldn't it make more sense to call this logging?

lumberjack (n.): 1831, Canadian English, from lumber (n.) + Jack.

Such is the problem with making a game hehe...

So it looks like other big online games have lumberjacking. It sounds better and is easier to identify than logging in my opinion. Though I did notice the discrepancy and decided to reference logging in some of the messaging. It'd probably be a massive delay for me to go change the name at this point. I just don't have the time or energy to be too anal anymore.

Logging does make more sense but I understand. :|

(Also we're citing UO and WOW for grammar? Is that wise? That's a dangerous road.)
