Bone Armor Repair 11/19/2015 02:37 PM CST
Are there techs that make this possible for players like metal/leather/wood?

Not currently. Bone isn't repairable outside of an NPC (or magical repair artifact I suppose).

And stone weapon repair would be nice as well. Senci wears relatively quickly, and there aren't too many NPCs who repair it. Any idea when we might be able to expect this? I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to incorporate into the crafting system, especially since wood is repairable in the newer Shaping discipline.

Bumping this because I'm getting tired of paying multiple plats to repair my bone armor. (I'm using a hauberk that apps at 500 plat, so even after a couple hunting trips it already costs a plat to repair.) My necro who also used bone armor also doesn't have risen yet so also has the added stress of needing to spend unwanted time in town.

Based on that I would recommend a 2 step process similar to metal armor. Instead of a wire brush followed by oil, it would start with a soft-bristled brush to remove dirt/dust is followed by applying the bleaching solution to remove salt crystallization. The solution already exists, so it would only need one more tool and we could even use the wire brush if we really want to keep tool count low even though its not quite the right tool. This would obviously work for bone weapons too, and since stone is in the same discipline this would do double duty for that, with the only difference being using the surface polish instead of the bleaching solution. Both could also just use the surface polish too.

Items:
Soft-bristled Brush
Bleaching solution (already exists)
Surface polish (already exists)

Verbs:
Rub/Scrape/Clean item with brush
Pour polish/solution on item

Techniques:
Basic Stone and Bone Repair - Advanced Stone and Bone Repair - Proper Stone and Bone Care

If bone/stone repair is waiting on the item upgrade techs to be released as a whole system, please consider releasing the repair techs first if the upgrade techs aren't ready. I can live without upgraded bone armor, but repairing it is a need right now.
