I have long RPed Gulph as a lush with a curiosity about brewing. The nut he's trying to crack is brewing absinthe. Of course, there is no brewing in DR, so mostly Gulph just drinks, tries to get absinthe from others, and disappears into his cottage with a keg in one hand and a bucket in the other.

All that being said, I see it fitting under alchemy more than artistry.
