How about potions that attract or repel animal type creatures. This could help make a room swarmier or slower depending on the type of potion made. This would of course be included in the alchemy skill too.

The potions could be made from ground parts that are skinned from the animal and mixed with some herbs or oils to make a gas or soak into the ground.
